CITY OF INDUSTRY, Calif., August 14, 1998—Edison Utility Services and Smallworld Systems, Inc. announced that the Smallworld 3 Geographic Information System will be the Edison Utility Services platform of choice for delivering operational systems that enhance customer service and improve productivity.

 Edison Utility Services, a subsidiary of Edison International, provides management, operations, systems and services to utilities across North America, enabling them to reduce operating costs while improving service, reliability and customer satisfaction. Edison Utility Services delivers turn-key business process solutions by integrating utility business knowledge with the delivery of world class technology applications and software products such as Smallworld’s.
