Edison Enterprises Board Names New Management
ROSEMEAD, Calif., Sept. 13, 1999--Edison International announced today that the board of directors of its subsidiary Edison Enterprises has elected Theodore F. Craver, Jr., chairman and CEO, and Thomas J. Higgins, president of Edison Enterprises.
Craver joined Edison in September 1996. He currently serves as senior vice president and treasurer for Edison International and its subsidiary utility, Southern California Edison. He will retain his position as senior vice president and treasurer for Edison International. Before joining Edison, Craver served as executive vice president and corporate treasurer for First Interstate Bancorp. Earlier, Craver was CEO of First Interstate Investment Services, Inc., which sold investment and insurance products to retail customers throughout the western United States.
Higgins joined Edison in April 1995 as vice president of Corporate Communications for Edison International and Southern California Edison. He has been responsible for corporate communications, advertising and public relations, and corporate philanthropy. He will retain his position as vice president of Corporate Communications for Edison International. Before joining Edison, Higgins was senior vice president for Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Maryland, responsible for all administrative and staff functions. Earlier in his career, Higgins was co-founder and COO of Healthweek Publications, a national trade publishing company.
Diane O. Wittenberg has been named acting vice president of Corporate Communications for Edison International and Southern California Edison. Wittenberg joined Edison in 1986 as manager of Corporate Communications. Most recently, she was president of Edison International's Electric Vehicle subsidiary.
Stephen E. Pazian, the former CEO of Edison Enterprises, left the company last week to pursue other interests.
