CITY OF INDUSTRY, Calif., Aug. 21, 1997--Edison EV executive Françoise Mattice has moved to Edison Enterprises as vice president of planning and business development, announced Steve Pazian, president and CEO.

In her new position, Mattice is responsible for strategic planning and for developing acquisitions and alliances supporting the Edison Enterprises group of retail companies:

  • Edison EV, a leading developer and supplier of electric vehicle charging equipment;
  • Edison Select, which provides mass market consumer products, such as electrical repair and home security services; and
  • Edison Source, the unregulated subsidiary dedicated to increasing customer value through integrated energy services.

Most recently, Mattice was chief financial officer and director of business development for Edison EV, where she also directed activities related to strategic planning and new business initiatives.

"Françoise brings to Edison Enterprises her extensive financial and overall business experience in the entertainment and consumer products industries, as well as a deep understanding of Edison's competitive strengths," Pazian said. "We are fortunate to have an individual with Françoise's talents on our team as we enter the competitive energy market."

 Prior to her work for Edison EV, Mattice spent six years at The Walt Disney Co., where she last served as director of special projects. Her responsibilities included new product development, joint ventures and international market expansion. She has also held positions with Allergan, LVMH and Peat Marwick.
