Collins Named Senior Vice President of
Marketing for Edison Enterprises

CITY OF INDUSTRY, Calif., September 29, 1997—Edison Enterprises, the retail businesses affiliated with Edison International, today named Clark W. Collins as senior vice president of marketing, announced Steve Pazian, president and chief executive officer.

In his new role, Collins will be responsible for directing the marketing and customer support functions for Edison EV, a leading developer and supplier of electric vehicle charging equipment; Edison Select, which provides mass market consumer products to enhance comfort and security, and Edison Source, the unregulated subsidiary dedicated to increasing customer value through integrated energy services.

Most recently, Collins was senior vice president for Bank of America’s national consumer assets group. While there, he was responsible for performance of the bank’s consumer lending portfolio as well as for strategic planning, direct marketing, advertising and promotions.

"With his experience in the competitive banking industry, Clark will provide us with unique insight and innovative strategies as the Edison Enterprises companies grow and expand in the newly restructured energy arena," Pazian said. "His expertise in bringing new products to market in a service-oriented industry will be a tremendous asset to Edison Enterprises."

Prior to his work for Bank of America, Collins spent ten years with Glendale Federal Bank, most recently serving as senior vice president and director of marketing. He also held positions with Knapp Communications Corp. and the San Bernardino County Sun.

Collins earned his undergraduate degree in Business/Public Administration from the University of Idaho and an MBA degree from the University of Southern California.

Headquartered in City of Industry, Calif., Edison Enterprises is a corporate entity of Edison International, which also is the parent company of Southern California Edison, Edison Mission Energy and Edison Capital.
