Commissioning, Measurement & Evaluation Engineer

Purpose of Position:

Design, develop and implement company project activities regarding commissioning, measurement and verification to ensure project quality and integrity.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop/review measurement and verification plans for a variety of end-use technologies
  • Supervise the set-up and implementation of measurement and verification activities (M&V)
  • Identification of key protocols to be used for M&V that are installed in large retail stores, supermarkets and convenience stores
  • Processing and reviewing utility rebate programs as they relate to M&V
  • Establishment of commissioning protocols for various engineering projects
  • Supervise the implementation of the commissioning plan

Experience, Knowledge and Skills Required:

  • Five years or more experience in on-site/remote monitoring and controls requirements for mechanical/electrical systems
  • Hands-on experience with remote control/diagnostic equipment and metering technology
  • Understanding of performance contracting programs and strategies
  • At least two years experience with regard to project commissioning


  • Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering; or
  • Five or more years equivalent combination of education and experience
